The case for a more sustainable approach to real estate investing is straightforward, in our view. The property sector contributes a significant amount of carbon emissions globally, with nearly 40% of the world's CO2 emissions attributable to the construction and operation of buildings.

As the world moves toward a net-zero future, properties with better environmental sustainability practices can potentially fetch higher rents, achieve higher values and help manage risks as public policies evolve.
